Many people around the world wiped their eyes in amazement when, after updating the McAfee Endpoint Security 10.2 anti-virus software database, they could not log into their Windows system. The patch for McAfee at the beginning of the week, marked with number 9418, was especially effective in companies whose employees thought they had fallen victim to ransomware.

The first suspicions, of course, fell on the Microsoft system and one of the updates provided by the company. However, the error was quickly admitted by the manufacturer of the antivirus application, which on its website reported that the problem concerns only the ENS program version 10.2 or earlier. McAfee has already released the corresponding patch number 9419.
To install the revised McAfee Endpoint Security 10.2 update you must start your computer in Safe Mode. Normal logging into the system will not be possible. A full solution to the problem is available on the McAfee website.
McAfee Endpoint Security 10.2 is software that lost its full support on December 15, 2018. It is still used by many companies that do not change to a newer version mainly because of the costs.
