Samsung Galaxy Fold in Italy since November 13th

Samsung has announced that the Galaxy Fold will be available in Italy from the next November 13th. The folding smartphone can be booked online on the Korean manufacturer's website or on sites of the major consumer electronics chains. The price is very high, but users will benefit from some exclusive benefits.

As is now known, the first version of the Galaxy Fold never came on the market because Samsung had to correct two design flaws. The most serious allowed the entry of debris through the slots at the ends of the hinge which could cause the flexible screen to break Infinity Flex. This problem was solved with the second version by inserting a small plastic cap.

The Galaxy Fold has an internal Dynamic AMOLED screen from 7.3 inches and an external Super AMOLED screen from 4.6 inches. The new form factor allows you to take advantage of multitasking, keeping up to three apps open at the same time. Thanks to the features App Continuity it is possible to switch quickly from the external screen to the internal one and vice versa. Support is available for the most popular apps, including Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp.

The hardware equipment includes the Snapdragon 855 processor, 12 GB of RAM, 512 GB of storage, three rear 12, 16 and 12 megapixel cameras (standard, ultra wide angle and telephoto), two 10 and 8 megapixel front cameras, 10 megapixel external camera, 802.11ax WiFi modules, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, Galileo, NFC and LTE, side fingerprint reader, USB Type-C port, AKG stereo speakers and 4.380 mAh battery with fast and wireless charging.

The operating system is Android 9 Pie with One UI interface. Soon the update to Android 10 with the new One UI 2.0 will be released. The Galaxy Fold will be available in the Cosmic Black color at a price of 2,050 euros. In the box there are also the Galaxy Buds wireless earphones and a protective cover. Samsung also offers a dedicated support service and a year of insurance Samsung Care + which covers accidental damage such as display breakage or liquid infiltration.
